I hope all of you are doing well. There are a number of exciting things to share this month. The Oklahoma Military Department has approved our hosting the annual Memorial Day Ceremony. As always, additional volunteers to assist with parking and in the galleries will be greatly appreciated. The ceremony will be held on 31 May at 10:00 am.

We have also been approved to book tour groups of more than 10 people. Guests are still encouraged to wear masks and social distance during this time. I hope that these requirements will be behind us by the end of summer. I will keep you posted.

Perhaps, the biggest news is that Governor Stitt has signed legislation that will officially change the name of the museum to the Oklahoma National Guard Museum. A timeline for transitioning our name has not been determined. This represents a significant change, but it will not diminish the storyline of the 45th Infantry Division. It is important for us to grow as an institution, which includes expanding our mission, to share a comprehensive history of the Oklahoma National Guard.

As always, thank you for your time and dedication—Denise.
