The Chapel

45th Infantry Division Museum Chapel

The museum’s Memorial Chapel is a reminder of the spiritual quality of the 45th and of the strong commitment of a good soldier to both God and Country. However, the duty of the chaplain goes far beyond religious services on Sunday. In combat, chaplains visit troops on the front line, providing encouragement and spiritual guidance, and conduct religious services near the front. The artifacts displayed in this gallery show the religious items and icons that would have been used by chaplains in the field, and photographs depict the chaplains performing their duties.
